Privacy Policy
Overview
Patchee is operated by Hemiscend ("we", "us", "our"). Patchee is a personal canvas app that lets you organise tasks, notes, habits, routines, and more on a customisable board.
Patchee is built local-first. Your data lives on your device and, if you choose to enable it, in your private iCloud account. We do not operate a backend server and we cannot access your personal data.
Data We Collect
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
All canvas data — tasks, notes, routines, habits, mood entries, countdown timers, flashcards, and board layouts — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud Sync or use the manual backup feature.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you sign in to iCloud and enable sync, your data is synced to your private Apple iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We have no access to your iCloud data. Apple's privacy policy governs data stored in iCloud.
Health Data (Optional)
The Active Ring, Workout, Sleep, and Weight boxes can read data from Apple HealthKit with your permission. This data is read directly from HealthKit on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
Subscription Data
When you purchase a subscription or Lifetime unlock, the transaction is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status. RevenueCat receives only an anonymous identifier and your subscription state — not your name, email, or any personal data.
Feedback (User-Initiated)
If you choose to contact us via the Feedback section in Settings, your message is sent to hello@hemiscend.com through your device's default mail app. We only receive what you choose to include in that email.
Crash Reports
If the app crashes, Apple may collect anonymous crash data through standard App Store crash reporting. This data is anonymised and governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not have an account system — no email, no password, no user profile
- We do not collect analytics or track how you use the app
- We do not collect advertising identifiers
- We do not sell any data to third parties
- We cannot read your iCloud data
- We cannot read your HealthKit data
Third Parties
- Apple — iCloud sync, HealthKit, App Store subscription processing, and crash reporting. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- RevenueCat — subscription status verification. Receives only an anonymous user ID and subscription state. No personal data is shared.
Your Data Rights
Since all your data is stored on your device, you are in full control:
- Delete — deleting the app removes all local data from your device
- Export — use Settings → Back Up Everything to export a full JSON copy of your data
- iCloud — manage or delete your iCloud data through your device's Settings app

Children's Privacy
Patchee is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will address it immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app before they take effect. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
